EFSC is a Healthy Club

East Fremantle Soccer Club was successful in a grant application for $1,600 as part of the Healthways Healthy Club Sponsorship Program for 2009. The program is an incentive for clubs to address a range of issues that have the potential to improve the health and safety for members and supporters. Our club has been able to purchase 2 shade shelters that are easy to put up and down, 3 mobile first aid kits, sunscreen, ice packs, drink bottles and holders and 2 stretchers. In line with Healthways requirements EFSC now has a healthy club policy which covers smoking, sun protection, sport safety, alcohol and other drugs and healthy catering. The policy has been endorsed by the committee and is available by contacting Jenny Marslen on 9335 8547. It is a working document so feedback and thoughts to improve it are valued.
